Newsome Park Strategies is a purpose-driven health innovation and strategy firm inspired by the legacy and lessons of a powerful American community. We are committed to advancing community-based solutions that address systemic health disparities, promote preventative heart health, support responsible, non-narcotic pain management, and bring to market life-saving technologies and practices that raise the standard of care, particularly in primary care and underserved communities.

Our name and mission are rooted in the story of Newsome Park, a historically significant neighborhood in Newport News, Virginia. Originally established during the Great Depression as segregated affordable housing for African Americans, Newsome Park became a vital and resilient community in the face of adversity. During World War II, it welcomed Black migrants from across the country many of whom worked at the nearby shipyards or with NASA creating a diverse and thriving enclave of families, workers, and dreamers.
